Should I bring my own rapid COVID-19 tests to CSTE conference?
Yes, all attendees are encouraged to bring their own COVID-19 rapid tests so you may promptly test should you develop symptoms while attending the conference.
What should I do if I develop COVID-19 symptoms while attending the CSTE Conference?
Persons with COVID-19 symptoms and/or a positive COVID-19 test should isolate in their hotel room and not attend any in-person conference activities or events. Please do not approach CSTE staff or other attendees if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Instead, please notify the CSTE COVID-19 Triage Team by emailing [email protected] and refer to the most recent CDC isolation guidelines for how to safely separate from others.
Will COVID-19 testing be available onsite at the CSTE conference?
CSTE has partnered with Wild Labs to provide COVID-19 testing services during the annual conference through Wednesday, June 22. Wild Labs has testing options for mobile services and an onsite location in the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC) for attendees to schedule same-day appointments.
Attendees are encouraged to book an appointment online:
For mobile testing, schedule an appointment at: https://www.wildlabsky.com/louathome.
Attendees with COVID-19 symptoms should ONLY arrange for mobile testing services.
For onsite testing at KICC, schedule an appointment at: www.wildlabstesting.com/csteconvention. While online booking is preferred, attendees may walk-in for testing at the KICC in the Conference Theater room from Monday, June 20th through Wednesday, June 22nd from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
Testing is available for attendees with insurance coverage who indicate medical reasons to test (known lab-confirmed exposure or COVID-19 symptoms) with no out of pocket expense. Attendees without a medical reason to test will be charged $75.00 for a rapid test and $175 for a PCR test. Wild Labs accepts debit and credit card payments. Testing appointments take approximately 15 minutes and rapid test results are provided at the time of visit and a PDF document of your results will be emailed within six (6) hours of visit. The PCR result will be emailed to the attendee 48 hours after the visit. Attendees will need a Driver’s License and insurance card to be seen and must complete consent forms with Wild Labs. CSTE does not directly or indirectly receive any confidential information or testing results.
If I do not want to utilize the onsite COVID-19 testing services, what are my other options?
Other options for COVID-19 test facilities are available at https://www.hhs.gov/coronavirus/community-based-testing-sites/index.html. Test to treat facilities can be found at https://covid-19-test-to-treat-locator-dhhs.hub.arcgis.com/.
How will CSTE be communicating with conference attendees if anyone associated with the conference tests positive for COVID-19?
All in-person attendees of the CSTE conference will receive a daily courtesy email reporting the aggregate number of in-person attendees who have reported a positive COVID-19 test. CSTE does not intend to conduct any contact tracing to make notifications of potential exposure. Please refer to the COVID-19 Policy and Procedures for precautions all attendees should take to mitigate risk of COVID-19 exposure while attending the conference.
If I test positive for COVID-19 while attending the CSTE Conference, is financial assistance available to me?
CSTE does not provide financial assistance for medical treatment, hotel accommodations, or travel to return home should an attendee develop COVID-19 symptoms or test positive for COVID-19 while attending the conference. Please see the CSTE Annual Conference Waiver.
Should I notify anyone at CSTE if I test positive following attendance at the conference?
Yes, if you test positive for COVID-19 up to five (5) days after returning home, please notify CSTE by emailing [email protected].
