As Commissioner of Public Health for the City of Boston and Executive Director of the Boston Public Health Commission, Dr. Ojikutu is a key advisor to Boston&#8217;s Mayor on health issues impacting the health of all city residents. Among other public health priorities, she is committed to advancing health equity and addressing racism as a public health crisis. Dr. Ojikutu is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a faculty member within the Division of Global Health Equity at Brigham and Women&#8217;s Hospital. She also maintains an active clinical practice within the Infectious Disease Division at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Ojikutu is a Fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America, an alumna of the Commonwealth Fund Harvard Fellowship in Minority Health Policy, and a Milbank Memorial Fund Fellow. Considered the top reporter in the tech game, Swisher has been reporting on the industry since the early 1990s. Once called \u201cSilicon Valley&#8217;s most feared but revered journalist,\u201d Swisher has established herself as the oracle of the tech world with unrivaled access to the industry&#8217;s most significant leaders. Previously, he served as Senior Policy Advisor at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where he focused on public health emergency response, infectious diseases, and CDC\u2019s strategic policy initiatives. Dr. Goldstein also served as the Medical Director and founder of the Massachusetts General Hospital Transgender Health Program. Trained in infectious diseases, he has focused his clinical work on providing care to those living with and at risk for HIV, and his academic and policy pursuits are dedicated to identifying and working to eliminate barriers to equitable access to care. Dr. Arwady previously served as the commissioner of the Chicago Department of Public Health, leading the health department of the nation&#8217;s third-largest city, including through the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to that, she spent four years as Chicago&#8217;s chief medical officer, overseeing the department&#8217;s behavioral health and disease control work. Dr. Arwady has received local and national recognition for her strong leadership and communication skills. Earlier in her career, as an Epidemic Intelligence Service officer based at the Illinois Department of Public Health, she responded to disease outbreaks across the state as well as CDC responses in Saudi Arabia (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) and Liberia (Ebola). Dr. Arwady has a bachelor&#8217;s degree from Harvard University, a master&#8217;s degree in public health from Columbia University, and she completed medical school and clinical training at Yale University. For twenty-two years, the NPLI has embodied a unique combination of on-scene crisis leadership research, original development of key pedagogical themes and practices such as Meta-Leadership, Swarm Leadership and The Walk in the Woods, along with direct assistance in times of crisis to senior government and corporate leaders.<\/p>\n<p>During numerous events, Dr. Marcus has been on scene, uniquely observing and meeting with key leaders responsible for crisis response. He has lectured internationally on crisis leadership best practices, with significant work with the energy sector and their related geo-political, climate, and industrial crises. Through the COVID-19 crisis, Dr. Marcus actively worked with government and business leaders, teaching and advising people around the world. Shortly after the U.S. national emergency was declared and FEMA was placed in the lead of the domestic pandemic response, Lenny worked daily with FEMA Administrator Pete Gaynor to advise on the activities and leadership of the White House Coronavirus Task Force. He also established and directed the Aviation Public Health Initiative, in which the NPLI worked with corporate leaders of domestic United States aviation carriers to lower the risks of COVID transmission on aircraft and in airports.<\/p>\n<p>Lenny is lead author of the 2021 book <em>\u201cYou\u2019re It: Crisis, Change and How to Lead When It Matters Most,\u201d<\/em> which compiles the research, concepts, and practice methods that he and his colleagues developed over his 30 years at Harvard University. The book has been translated into Hebrew and Chinese.
