Continuing Education
The CSTE Annual Conference is a gathering of public health professionals and practitioners focused on epidemiology and informatics. Each year the conference content is determined by the abstracts submitted.
The educational purpose of the CSTE Annual Conference is to offer professionals and practitioners the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, improve their surveillance and epidemiology skills, and exchange information on best practices and strategies in applied epidemiology.
Learning Objectives
- Identify best practices in applied epidemiology to improve public health.
- Articulate the importance of interprofessional collaboration for applied epidemiology.
Types of Continuing Education
CSTE has partnered with CDC to provide continuing education for conference attendees. Eligible sessions include the NASPHV business meeting, Sunday workshops, and plenaries. CSTE anticipates offering up to 20 hours of continuing education for:
- Doctors

- Health Educators
- Veterinarians

- General Practitioners
- Pharmacists

Accreditation Statements:
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists jointly providing. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team
CME: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention designates this live activity for a maximum of 21.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CEU: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is authorized by IACET to offer 2.0 CEU’s for this program.
CECH: Sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a designated provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. This program is designated for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES®) and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES®) to receive up to 21.5 total Category I continuing education contact hours. Maximum advanced level continuing education contact hours available are 0. Continuing Competency credits available are 0. CDC provider number 98614.
CPH: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is a pre-approved provider of Certified in Public Health (CPH) recertification credits and is authorized to offer 22 CPH recertification credits for this program.

In order to receive continuing education (CE) for CM5000, 2026 CSTE Annual Conference, please visit CDC TRAIN and search for the course in the Course Catalog using CM5000. Follow the steps below by Monday July 13, 2026.
- Register for and complete the course.
- Complete the evaluation.
- Visit Your Learning to access your certificates andtranscript.
The event code to claim CE for doctors, nurses, veterinarians, health educators, those Certified in Public Health or to obtain a certificate of attendance, use CM5000.
The course access code has been shared with registered attendees.
Certified in Infection Control
The 2026 CSTE Annual Conference is approved by Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology as a multi-day conference for IPUs. To claim your IPUs, claim CEUs through CDC TRAIN using the event code CM5000 and course access code that has been shared with registered attendees. This will generate a certificate of attendance that can be submitted to CBIC.
Public Health Lawyers
*The following sessions are pending GA CLE approval at the discounted rate of $4/credit hour. FEES: Paid conference registration is required to receive CE. No additional fees are necessary to be eligible for CE for doctors, nurses, veterinarians, pharmacists health educators, or those Certified in Public Health.
Additional fees may apply for lawyers claiming CLE. Relevant CLE sessions are pending GA State Bar approval and if approved, will be offered at a discounted rate to be paid by attendee. All fees to be paid by the lawyer.
