Accessibility at the CSTE Annual Conference Minneapolis, MI 

Accessible Parking 

Accessible parking is available at both the 3rd Ave. Parking Ramp and the Plaza Parking Ramp. Curbside drop-off locations are also available along the front of the building on 2nd Ave. Please refer to the Minneapolis public event parking for more parking location options. To gain access to accessible parking, proper vehicle registration is required as well as current disabled placard with matching identification card.  

Building Access 

The convention center is equipped with automatic doors for easy access. Elevators and escalators are available to help navigate from the skyway down to the main floor in the convention center. Counters, drinking fountains, and bottle refill stations are at a convenient height for everyone.  

Elevators & Escalators 

Elevators and escalators are located by both skyway entrances. Once inside the convention center there are two sets of escalators with level two access and one set of escalators with Mezz level access. There are elevators on level one by meeting room 102 and exhibit hall C and by meeting room 101, behind the visitor information center. There is an elevator on the Mezz level to the right of the escalators when coming down to that level. On level two, the elevators are located by room 202 and by room 208. 

Emergency Evacuation Plan 

The Minneapolis Convention Center personnel have been properly trained in emergency evacuation procedures to ensure the safe evacuation of all patrons, including those guests with ADA requirements, in the case of an emergency. Please pay careful attention to the personnel instructions should an evacuation situation arise.  

First Aid 

Certified personnel from Minneapolis EMS are onsite throughout the duration of the event. If you are in need of attention from Minneapolis EMS, please notify the nearest building staff member or CSTE staff.  

Transportation

Restrooms 

All bathrooms at the Minneapolis Convention Center include accessible stalls. There are single-use restrooms located on Level Two and Level One.  

Lactation Room 

Lactation rooms are available at the Minneapolis Convention Center on the second level by room 202 and in room 203B. To access the already established lactation room within the convention center, please visit the Visitor Information Center or call their Security Command Center at 612-335-6040 for assistance.
