The CSTE Annual Conference is a gathering of public health professionals and practitioners focused on epidemiology and informatics.  Each year the conference content is determined by the abstracts submitted.   

The educational purpose of the CSTE Annual Conference is to offer professionals and practitioners the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, improve their surveillance and epidemiology skills, and exchange information on best practices and strategies in applied epidemiology.  

Learning Objectives 

  • Identify best practices in applied epidemiology. 
  • Describe best practices for surveillance and epidemiology. 
  • Discuss public health practice skills presented in workshops. 
  • Identify strategies or tools to improve public health practice. 
  • Articulate the importance of interprofessional collaboration for applied epidemiology. 

Types of Continuing Education 

CSTE has partnered with CDC to provide continuing education for conference attendees.  Eligible sessions include the NASPHV business meeting, Sunday workshops, and plenaries. CSTE anticipates offering up to 20 hours of continuing education for:

    INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLAIMING CONTINUING EDUCATION

    Doctors, Nurses, Veterinarians, Pharmacists, Health Educators, Certified in Public Health, CEUs

    In order to receive continuing education (CE) for CM4736 or SP4847, 2024 CSTE Annual Conference, please visit TCEO and follow these 9 Simple Steps before July 15, 2024.  

    The event code to claim CE for doctors, nurses, veterinarians, health educators, those Certified in Public Health or to obtain a certificate of attendance, use CM4736.

    The event code to claim CE for pharmacists is SP4847.

    Register for the 2024 CSTE Annual Conference. Attend including NASPHV business meeting, Sunday workshops, and plenaries. Complete the evaluation with the above event and course access codes at www.cdc.gov/GetCE

     

     

    Certified in Infection Control

    The 2024 CSTE Annual Conference is approved by Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology as a multi-day conference for IPUs. To claim your IPUs, claim CEUs through www.cdc.gov/GetCE using the event code CM4736 and course access code CSTEAC2024. This will generate a certificate of attendance that can be submitted to CBIC.

    Public Health Lawyers

    FEES: Paid conference registration is required to receive CE. No additional fees are necessary to be eligible for CE for doctors, nurses, veterinarians, pharmacists health educators, or those Certified in Public Health.

    Additional fees may apply for lawyers claiming CLE. Relevant CLE sessions are pending GA State Bar approval and if approved, will be offered at a discounted rate to be paid by attendee.  All fees to be paid by the lawyer.

We also use the rabies vaccine IMRAB®3 off label to vaccinate rabies vector species.
